Hi, I’m Beth Rue!

I became a therapist about 15 years ago and continue to grow in this industry, following the healing path for myself and others as best I can. I grew up in a home where trauma shaped my family, and I knew that there had to be more ways to live than just “getting by.” Between my education, my own healing journey, and being intuitive to my clients needs, I am passionate in providing experiential therapy methods that can allow for big shifts in people’s lives.

“With no exaggeration, working with Beth as my therapist has continually changed my life for the best. She has and continues to make the navigation of grief, loss, trauma, and anxiety exponentially easier. The comfort, perspective, and healing that she provides in each session is incredible. With the use of EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness work, Beth has helped me work through symptoms of panic, anxiety, and flashbacks. Beyond that, Beth has helped me be more present and intentional in my own life. After each session, I feel relief because of the progress Beth has helped me make. I could not be more appreciative to have Beth as my therapist!” - current client

I started as a social worker, getting my Bachelors at Temple University and my Masters at Bryn Mawr College. I worked with homeless and addiction populations early in my career. I became a yoga teacher and brought “Yoga Beth” to group therapy at an outpatient treatment program. I eventually became a Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director of addiction treatment programs before I realized that I missed the one-to-one connection of being a primary therapist.

I have since received training and consultation in somatic therapies to help those with long term depression, anxiety and trauma. I’m passionate about helping others find peace with the past and with themselves in the present. I use tools of EMDR, IFS informed EMDR, mindfulness, etc… as they are evidenced based and dynamic in helping people who have been stuck in cycles for years.

We work together to get you from stuck in your head to listening to your heart, where most of the hurt happened… and most of the healing needs to happen too.

Populations I’m passionate about supporting are: college and higher ed students, family members and individuals impacted by addiction, people in the helping profession, the highly sensitive people (HSP population), creatives and sensitive folk, analytical-types who feel trapped, introverts who don’t know how to live more comfortably in this world, people who’ve been avoiding through various forms of numbing, those who've been suffering with depression or anxiety since youth, etc…

As part of the coaching services I offer, I can provide tailored meditations, chakra based meditations, provide 1:1 yoga services or group based services for living more mindfully.

"On a personal level, I’m a nature lover and outdoor enthusiast - I enjoy kayaking, skiing, hiking, or a relaxing picnic. I love to write, listen to podcasts, live music, play the guitar, take a self-care bath and challenge myself to grow! My friends and family think I'm quirky and I tend to be a sensitive soul myself, so all the creative types, I feel you!"
